Our lamps

Our lamps are user friendly, cost effective and give the same light as we are accustomed to in our homes. The lamps simply plug into your existing light fittings and you will start to save money immediately. 

Totalight offers two replacement halogen lamps. Both lamps are GU10 mains voltage. The first lamp has a single Cree LED equivalent to a 35W halogen* and a dimmable lamp with three Cree LEDs equivalent to a 50W halogen*.

Totalight does not offer a low voltage halogen replacement lamp because there are inherent problems with MR16 LED replacement lamps. The electronics inside the lamp work against the electronic transformer in the ceiling. For this reason Totalight currently only produce mains voltage GU10 lamps.

Where the existing lamp is a low voltage MR16 haolgen we have a GU10 conversion kit. The conversion kit simply replaces the low voltage transformer which saves the electricity that the transformer would have used and as the transformer has been removed it will not fail in the future. Either of the Totalight GU10 lamps can then be fitted into the original light fittings.

Totalight lamps have specially designed heat sinks, optics and electronics. The heat sink has been designed to control the temperature of the LEDs and electronics which gives maximum L70 and colour rendering. The optics have been designed to collect all of the light produced by the LEDs and dissipate the light in a specific beam pattern. The power supply of the lamp has been designed to give a perfectly stable current output for the LEDs which will maximize the life of the LEDs.

Totalight uses Cree LEDs. Cree is accepted by the LED industry as one of the best manufacturers of LEDs giving excellent quality and stability. Cree also invest heavily in R&D leading to new LEDs which gives us the opportunity to design new solutions to existing problems.

Totalight lamps have patent pending protection.

Totalight lamps are an excellent solution to burnt and damaged wiring in ceiling voids. Existing halogen lamps emit considerable heat leading to damage or even melting of the wires connected to the lamps. Totalight LEDs emit far less heat so even wires touching the heatsink remain undamaged. This removes the health and safety issues as well as the risk of fire.

This lamp has been designed to give equivalent light output to a 50W GU10 halogen lamp*and produces over 765 cd @ C 0

This lamp has a 35 degree lens fitted which uses all of the light produced by the LEDs to best effect. 

The optics and the heat sink are integral parts of the lamps and have been designed to optimise the light output and longevity of the lamps, in excess of 50,000 hours.
