Major Benefits of using LED

LEDs (Light-emitting Diode) are the latest cutting edge lighting technology, a dynamic alternative to traditional light sources. LEDs have already exceeded the values of halogen and incandescent lamps and the light output and efficiency will soon approach that of fluorescent lighting. LEDs are an extremely efficient light source with numerous benefits.

Long Lifetime:
An LED has a longer lifetime compared to conventional light sources. An LED will last up to 100,000 hours therefore rarely requiring a replacement. The actual lifespan of an LED is defined as the point at which the LED is 70 % as bright as it was originally, although the LED continues to work effectively.

Durability:
Unlike bulbs or fluorescent lighting, LEDs are not affected by shaking and vibrating.  This would be highly effective in the automotive and marine world.

Heat and UV rays:
An LED produces less heat than conventional lights. The design of the lamps includes a heat sink which is designed to keep the junction temperature of the LED at its optimum working temperature.  In addition, an LED produces zero UV that makes it perfect for lighting precious artefacts or paintings.

Decorative:
Our lamps are warm white which is close to the colour temperature of a conventional incandescent lamps. Once installed you probably won't even notice the difference.

Ultra Low Power:
Save up to 90% power usage by replacing a conventional halogen lamp with an LED lamp.

Solid State Technology:
LEDs are solid state light sources the same as silicon chips. There are no moving parts or any parts that are work hardened like filaments.

Instant Light:
LEDs emit full brightness a hundred times faster than conventional light sources.  They do not strobe like fluorescent lights which can cause headaches and lead to epileptic fits.

Less Wiring:
Lower operational voltage & amperage reduces line voltage drop. So an LED has less wiring costs and brighter lights.

Resilience:
The LED is water proof.

Deterioration:
An LED lamp  deteriorates very little compared to conventional light sources. Less than 2% of light is lost in the first 1000 hours.

Environmentally friendly:
It does not contain mercury and pollutants thereby mitigating  impact on the environment.
