Our Bulbs

We have designed our lamps to be easy to use, cost effective and to give the same light as we are all used to in our homes. The lamps simply plug into your existing light fittings and you will start to save money immediately.  To keep things simple Bulbs4life only have 2 different warm white lamps, GU10 (240v) and MR16 (12V). The lamps are not interchangeable and have different connections, detailed below, so you will need to check an existing lamp in each room prior to placing an order.    Once the lamp has gone out for the last time simply return the lamp to us for a free replacement. Your old lamp will then be refurbished ready to start a new life all over again.

MR16 LED| Low Voltage | warm white (Equivalent to 50W)

MR16  lamps can easily be confirmed by looking at the connectors at the base of the lamp. The MR16 connectors are 2 straight wire pins as shown in the picture. This lamp is specifically design to work on 12v and will plug directly in to your existing fitting. The MR16 lamps will work with all of your existing wire wound transformers, most electronic transformer but the most efficient method is to use a LED transformer. The LED transformer is more efficient, will give better energy savings and will last longer.

The optics and the heat sink are integral parts of the lamps and have been design to optimise the light output and longevity of the lamps, in excess of 50,000 hrs. This is why we are confident with our Bulb4life guarantee.

At present our lamps are not dimmable.

MR16 LED Specification

GU10 LED | Mains | Warm White (Equivalent to 50W)

GU10 lamps can easily be confirmed by looking at the connectors at the base of the lamp. The GU10 connectors are like square mushrooms as shown in the picture. This lamp is specifically design to work on 240v and will plug directly in to your existing fitting. GU10 lamps are more efficient as they don’t require a transformer to reduce the voltage to 12v so if you are replacing fittings as well GU10 are ideal.
